Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) — European stocks climbed, snapping the longest losing streak in 15 months, after BHP Billiton said it may seek acquisitions, fanning speculation takeovers will increase in the mining industry.

Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) — European stocks climbed, snapping the longest losing streak in 15 months, on speculation Volkwagen AG, MAN AG and EMI Plc may be taken over.

Sage Makes Another U.K. Acquisition 
London (Nov. 14, 2006) - Accounting software group Sage has made another purchase — acquiring U.K. merchant services firm Protx for $25.6 million. Established in 2001, Protx provides online payment services for small and medium businesses in the U.K., with a customer base of over 10,000 businesses.
