U.K. Stocks Including Sainsbury Climb; Sage Group Shares Fall

Feb. 2 (Bloomberg) — U.K. stocks including J Sainsbury Plc rose. The London-based Times reported the supermarket company may be the object of a takeover. Sage Group Plc paced declining shares.

EAST CHICAGO | A final accounting of residents eligible for $500 in property tax relief is expected to be completed today. The city pledged $2.2 million to pay 50 percent of 2006 property taxes — up to $500 — for the 3,500 holders of a homestead exemption in East Chicago.
