Equity Residential Announces Sale of Its Lexford Housing Division for $1.1 Billion

CHICAGO—-June 28, 2006–Equity Residential , today announced that the company has agreed to sell its Lexford Housing Division to affiliates of Empire Group Holdings LLC, a privately held company based in Montvale, New Jersey, for a cash purchase price of $1.086 billion.
